Former Toronto Marlies head coach Jack Han believes that Canadiens prospect Oliver Kapanen will eventually be sent down to the AHL's Laval Rocket.

Former Toronto Marlies head coach Jack Han believes that the Montreal Canadiens are on the verge of sending down prospect Oliver Kapanen to the AHL affiliate Laval Rocket.
He made an appearance on the French version of The Sick podcast with Tony Marinaro, and said he thinks Kapanen needs more time to hone his game, something he'll have the chance to do at the AHL.
Despite his prediction, Kapanen already has an impressive start to his rookie year and has seven points (4G, 3A) in 11 games played.

Oliver Kapanen Was Taken By The Canadiens In The 2021 NHL Entry Draft

The Canadiens took Kapanen with the 64th pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, and has impressed in his short time in the NHL so far.
Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis recently said he believes that Kapanen has all of the capabilities of being a complete player who can play in all situations and that he's on a good path so far.
I think he's got the potential of being a complete player. I think he's a guy that could kill [penalties], could play on the power play, but very, very predictable off the puck, defensively, what he's going to do, manages risk really well. That's why I say, '200-foot player.' But I feel his offensive game is going to keep evolving because he's going to get more confident with the pace, the cues. And that's a normal path for a player of his type. - Martin St. Louis
