A Mitch Marner trade to Vegas is rumored to be getting close to completion
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Mitch Marner better start getting used to that slogan, as it appears a trade to the Golden Knights is closing in.
It appears that various sources around the league are all starting to be in agreement with each other regarding how the Mitch Marner saga is going to end, as rumors surrounding his departure from Toronto have been front and center over the last few weeks.
"The Leafs are counting too highly on Marner's desire to stay in Toronto. Expecting discounts that simply won't be there."
The Vegas Golden Knights have been one of the better teams of the NHL since they first entered the league during the 2017-18 season, with it all culminating to them capturing the Stanley Cup in 2023. This appears to be the first year where they are showing some signs of weakness in certain positions, so adding Marner would definitely help solve a few of their problems.
"The Knights are currently entering into the first pre-season where they are noticeably weaker than they were the year before. Marner changes all that."
BREAKING: Frank Seravalli notes that the Golden Knights are poking around on Mitch Marner
After an underwhelming start to free agency, this would be HUGE for Vegas 👀
While details of the possible Marner to Vegas trade are still being worked out and being held close to the chest, the chances of seeing him in Sin City are increasing with each passing day.
