Amidst the worst season of his NHL career, St. Louis Blues forward Robert Thomas finds himself in trade rumours per the latest report from analyst Chris Johnston.

It's mostly been a struggle this year for the St. Louis Blues, who are in second to last place in the Central Division and aren't likely to make a return to the playoffs, the opposite of how their year last season went after the coaching change was made from Drew Bannister to Jim Montgomery.
Multiple Blues players, including captain Brayden Schenn, have been embroiled in trade rumours, and there's a new player to add to the list of those who could potentially be moved.
Per a new report from NHL analyst Chris Johnston, Robert Thomas potentially could soon be traded.
Nothing is off the table in St. Louis, including a potential deal involving the team's top-line center. How likely that is depends on how you interpret the fact that his name has started to circulate again in chatter with rival teams. Thomas has experienced a slight dip in production this season, but he is coming off consecutive campaigns where he exceeded 80 points. He possesses strong puck skills and vision, and he can handle the challenge of facing tough competition every night. It would take a serious offer to land Thomas in the prime of his career, but the Blues are open for business. - Chris Johnston

So far this year, Thomas has 30 points (10G, 20A) in 40 games.

Robert Thomas Signed A Lengthy Contract In 2022 To Stay With The Blues

Thomas, who was taken with the 20th overall pick by the Blues in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, helped them win the franchise's first and only Stanley Cup to date in 2019.
He's under contract through 2031 and has a considerable AAV (average annual value) of $8.125 million.
So far in his NHL career, he has 426 points (117G, 309A).
