Per a new report from NHL analyst Pierre LeBrun, the Montreal Canadiens had checked in with the St. Louis Blues about acquiring Jordan Kyrou before his no-trade clause kicked in.

There isn't much going right for the St. Louis Blues right now, as they're in second to last place in the Central Division at 6-9-6, only two points ahead of the last place Nashville Predators.
There are several members of the Blues who are embroiled in trade rumours, including captain Brayden Schenn.
But per a new report from NHL analyst Pierre LeBrun, the Montreal Canadiens had previously checked in with the Blues about acquiring forward Jordan Kyrou before his no-trade clause kicked in.
Right now, LeBrun doesn't think Kyrou would be willing to waive his no-trade clause, but if the Blues continue to flounder, he could potentially reconsider when the Trade Deadline comes around in March.
Before making the Zach Bolduc-Logan Mailloux trade last summer, the Habs did talk to the Blues several times about Jordan Kyrou. But that was before his full no-trade clause kicked in on July 1. I sense that Kyrou, as of now, doesn't intend to waive for any trade to any team. Those things can change, but that's what I've been told. However, that feeling for any player can change on a dime. Kyrou may not want to waive today, but will he feel the same in two or three months, depending on how things play out? - Pierre LeBrun

Jordan Kyrou Has Played His Entire NHL Career In A Blues Sweater

Kyrou was taken by the Blues with the 35th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, and he's played his entire NHL career in a Blues sweater.
He did play in 16 games in 2018-19, but didn't get in any playoff games, meaning his name wasn't on the Stanley Cup as part of the Blues Cup-winning year.
So far this year, Kyrou has 12 points (6G, 6A).
