One specific Canadian team linked to star Jordan Kyrou from the St. Louis Blues

Recently, the St. Louis Blues made the shock decision to healthy scratch talented forward Jordan Kyrou, with the team struggling mightily early in the 2025/26 season as they currently sit at 5-8-3 through their first 16 games played.

He returned the game after, and now has a solid 5 goals and 9 points in 15 games played this season, but given the way he's been treated by the Blues and Head Coach Jim Montgomery in recent times, it's no surprise that his name has entered NHL trade speculation.

Despite carrying a salary cap hit of $8.1 million over the next six years and a full no-movement clause, if he were to be made available and waive his clause, there would be plenty of teams interested.

The talented winger has been a consistent producer throughout his NHL career, tallying totals of 75, 73, 67 and 70 points over his last four seasons, and while he may not be worth the $8.1 million cap hit, he could definitely help a team moving forward.

Enter the Toronto Maple Leafs, as the polarizing Canadian team have been linked to the 27-year old winger by Jeff Marek, who notes that his skill and speed are two things that Toronto desperately need.

It's unclear if Kyrou is willing to waive his no-trade clause at this point in time, but after the treatment he's received recently, if Toronto made a good offer to St. Louis, there could potentially be a deal to be made here.
