Even though he's struggling heavily again, Edmonton Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner doesn't appear to be taking any accountability for his disappointing recent play, even after getting pulled on Saturday night.

Nothing went right for the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night on home ice, as they were humiliated by the Colorado Avalanche 9-1.
Goaltender Stuart Skinner, who has been heavily maligned in recent months for his performances, was pulled in the 2nd period after allowing four Avalanche goals. Calvin Pickard didn't fare much better, allowing five goals as part of the 9-1 rout.
But Skinner doesn't appear to be taking any accountability for his poor play that is actively harming the team. Skinner said after practice that he's more focused on just winning games rather than his own individual stats.
It's not about you, it's about the whole team. Whether you let in a bad goal or make a huge save, you're just trying to do your best to help the team get 2 points. Whether that's an 8-7 win, that's still a huge win being able to get 2 points. It just matters if you're able to make a save at the right time, and give the team a chance to win.

It's not about my save percentage, or how I'm doing. It's about my win column, the team's win column. - Stuart Skinner

The Oilers Are Running Out Of Time To Fix Their Goaltending Issues

GM Stan Bowman caught plenty of heat from fans and analysts alike after he chose not to make any kind of significant move during the summer that would have strengthened his team's weakest position.
Even though Connor McDavid decided to sign an extremely team-friendly new contract, it's only for two years, meaning that Bowman needs to do everything to maximize his team's chances of a Stanley Cup win during that time frame.
By not strengthening Edmonton's goaltending, he's not getting the message.
