'It's unreal': Young Capitals Player Reveals True Feelings About Playing With Alex Ovechkin

The Washington Capitals don't have a long, storied history, but since the early 2000's, they've been home to one of the greatest players to ever step foot on the ice in the National Hockey League.

At 39-years of age, Alex Ovechkin continues to thrive, as he recently became the first and only player in league history to tally 900 regular season goals, a record he hopes to add to in the months and potentially years to come.

Unsurprisingly, all of that success brought Ovechkin plenty of fans, both in Washington and around the world, and one of those players is Justin Sourdif, who is getting the chance to play with Ovechkin this year.

After starting his career in Florida, Sourdif has appeared in 15 games for the Capitals this season, and now, the life long Capitals fan has opened up on being teammates with Ovechkin.

In those 15 games, Sourdif has tallied just 1 goal, but at 23-years of age, he seemingly has a bright future ahead, and given his past as a Capitals fan, the organization are clearly overjoyed to have him.

This excitement should come as no surprise however, as a generation of kids grew up on Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby, and given the respect the Great 8 has garnered around the league, Sourdif isn't the only one overjoyed to team up with or face off against the icon.
