Penguins Star drawing trade interest from Multiple Contenders

It's tough to use the word rebuild with Erik Karlsson, Sidney Crosby, Kris Letang and Evgeni Malkin on the team, but given what talent they've got around them, this may officially be the end of this incredible core.

In their time together, this core has won three Stanley Cups, with Crosby going down as one of the greatest players in NHL history, but with the deadline upcoming, they've got some big calls to make.

While we've heard of the Oilers interest in Jake Guentzel for weeks now, according to NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman, there's many more teams interested in the veteran star.

According to his latest report, Friedman has revealed the Vegas, Vancouver, Edmonton, Carolina and Florida have all expressed different levels of interest in Guentzel, and with the team needing to recoup major assets for the future, it makes sense if the Penguins look to move the veteran.

While he may only recoup them a late first-round pick and a low level prospect or two, moving Guentzel, who is an unrestricted free agent at seasons end is the best move for Pittsburgh, and will make them one of the most interesting teams come this summer.
