The 38-year-old has played in just shy of 1200 regular-season NHL games with the team, recording 507 goals and 1330 points in the process.
He's also won three Stanley Cups with the team and several individual trophies including a Calder, two Art Ross awards, and even a Conn Smythe.
In 172 career playoff games, he has 67 goals and 176 points, second all time in playoff scoring for the club, only behind Sid the kid.
Malkin is under contract for one more season after this one, and it certainly feels like that could be his last given his age and the state of the team.
After all, why would he want to sit through a rebuild when he's already done everything he can in the NHL?
He is already certain to be a Hall of Fame player, and he could very well extend his career by playing in the KHL when his current contract is over.
But many fans have found themselves wondering what the Penguins will do with him over the next year.
According to Penguins insider Rob Rossi, Malkin is in Pittsburgh for good.
Malkin does have a full no-trade clause so if this is how he feels, there is nothing Kyle Dubas can do about it.
As such, it seems like Penguins fans will at least have one more year to enjoy the nostalgia of the Crosby-Malkin era.
It might be coming to an end soon, but at least is was successful in its prime, as the team gave their fans a decade of amazing hockey.
