Flyers captain Sean Couturier is calling out second year Flyers forward Matvei Michkov in his latest postgame interview.
Philadelphia Flyers second year forward Matvei Michkov needs to find a groove, and even though he's now scored two goals in as many games, the Flyers feel he can contribute much more.
Flyers captain Sean Couturier called out Michkov after their OT loss to the Ottawa Senators on Saturday this weekend and said that even though the Russian forward is a good goal scorer, he must contribute to the team in other ways.
He's a great goal scorer, has a lot of skill, I think you just got to find a way to contribute to helping the team win in other ways when you're struggling. You're not always going to be scoring goals every game, so. I've seen improvement in the way he's not cheating as much and being on the right side of pucks. I'm sure it's a little different for him. If he sticks to playing more of the right way, I think it's going to be better for the team overall.

Reports Surface That Matvei Michkov Reported To Flyers Training Camp Out Of Shape
Michkov, who was in contention for Rookie of the Year last year with the Flyers, reportedly showed up to training camp this fall not in the best of shape per reports from former NHL players and current Spittin' Chiclets hosts Paul Bissonnette and Ryan Whitney.
