Linus Ullmark may be returning to Senators after mysterious leave of absence

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark has come back to the team, albeit just in practice so far, after his mysterious leave of absence that brought tons of speculation and unfounded rumours.

Ullmark's absence sparked ugly rumours online that the Senators eventually chose to address with a statement from GM Steve Staois

After practice today, Senators head coach Travis Green said that there is still no timetable for Ullmark to come back to a game for the first time since December 27.

So far this year, Ullmark is 14-8-5 with a .881 SV%. During his absence, the Senators signed James Reimer to a one-year deal; he failed to earn a PTO with the divisional foe Maple Leafs earlier in the season.
Linus Ullmark Is In His Second Year With The Senators
Ullmark has played his entire NHL career in the Atlantic division, starting out with the Buffalo Sabres before joining the Boston Bruins.
He was traded before the start of last season to the Senators from the Bruins for Joonas Korpisalo, and he was able to help bring Ottawa back to the playoffs for the first time since they went to Game 7 of the 2017 Eastern Conference Final.
Even though they lost to the Maple Leafs in six games, they gave them a scare by winning two straight games and threatening to send the series to seven.
