A stunning scene unfolded during tonight's game between the Senators and Lightning after a fan needed medical attention after reportedly getting hit with the puck.

In yet another frightening scene that took place off the ice in the last several days, a fan taking in tonight's game between the Ottawa Senators and Tampa Bay Lightning at Canadian Tire Center required urgent medical attention.
Per various reports, the fan was struck by an errant puck that made its way into the stands and began bleeding badly; the fan was immediately attended to by medical personnel in the venue.
Let's hope that this fan wasn't seriously injured and was able to receive the aid they needed.

An Edmonton Oilers fan recently suffered a medical emergency in the stands at Rogers Place

The incident during tonight's game against the Senators and Lightning was the second time in the last several days that a fan has required urgent medical attention in the stands.
During Saturday's game between the divisional foe Oilers and Calgary Flames, a fan reportedly suffered a heart attack and even fell several rows of stairs, per an eyewitness also at the game:
I'm at the game and it wasn't pretty to see, the fan had a medical episode and fell 18 to 20 rows before someone could stop him..

The Oilers' training staff or doctor was on the scene immediately.

The game was paused for several minutes while arena and team medical personnel attended to the fan, who thankfully survived what could have been a deadly ordeal.
Later, the Oilers released a statement indicating what had transpired while also thanking those who stepped in to render the life-saving aid.
During last night's Battle of Alberta game at Rogers Place, a fan experienced a medical emergency & was attended to by emergency personnel, OEGSE arena & team staff & fans. The game was paused to allow the time & space needed to attend to the fan & prepare them for transport to the hospital.

The Edmonton Oilers & OEGSE are grateful to the emergency services personnel, our OEGSE staff & the fans who assisted in attending to this emergency. Our thoughts & prayers are with the fan, their family & loved ones & we wish them a speedy recovery
