Dylan Guenther has broken out in a big way this season, and now, he's fighting through an injury to help Utah's Stanley Cup Playoff hopes.
While the Utah Hockey Club are still on the outside looking in at a Wild Card spot in the Western Conference this season, as a team they've taken a major step forward from what we saw with the Arizona Coyotes a year ago.
That success has been driven by their young core of
Clayton Keller,
Logan Cooley and Dylan Guenther, with all three fighting hard to get this team into the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time.
Now it's been revealed that Guenther is pushing through some brutal injuries to help his team stay in the fight, as he revealed that he broke his nose in his last game, as well as getting nine stitches, and he will now go with a full cage as he continues playing down the stretch.

Not only that, he also admits his breathing is at about 70% capacity, and even with the slightest hope in 2024/25, he is continuing to battle for his team, which are qualities of a great young leader that the organization hopes he can become moving forward.
With 26 goals and 52 points in 63 games played, Guenther is on pace to pass 30 goals for the first time in his career, and with the 21-year old looking like a star in the making, fans in Salt Lake City are thrilled ofr the future.
It's highly unlikely that Utah can make the post-season this year, with so many things needing to go right to make it happen, but with such a great young core that are clearly fighters and want to keep pushing down the stretch, even through injury, hockey in Salt Lake City and all of Utah is certainly in good hands.
