Nashville Predators prospect Yegor Surin recently collided with the post in a game, and now, he's showed off the horrific injury in a new video.

In the 2024 NHL Draft, the Nashville Predators selected Yegor Surin out of Russia with the 22nd overall draft pick, and at 18-years of age, he's shown some very solid production and improvement in the KHL this season.
However, in a recent game, the talented forward was driving to the net to put one past the goaltender, and not only did he not do that, but he also collided with the goal post in horrific fashion.
It looked absolutely brutal on first viewing, and now the highly regarded young prospect has shown off his injury, and unfortunately it's just as gruesome as you would expect.
Thankfully, he appears in good spirits and this isn't a serious injury, but rather just a face injury that he'll have to deal with as the KHL season continues to roll on for the 18-year old.
In 41 games at the top level in the KHL this season, Surin has tallied 7 goals and 14 points alongside a +10 differential, and while there's another rookie stealing all the headlines in the KHL, Surin is developing exactly the way that Nashville would be hoping.
Unfortunately, injuries like this can occur in hockey at any point as players are travelling at such high speeds and have opposing players, the boards and the goalposts to contend with as they look to gain an advantage on their opponents, so while thankfully it doesn't appear to be a serious injury for Surin, this isn't a situation that he'll be eager to ever experience again.
