The Montreal Canadiens are off to a great start in 2025/26, and now they've made several changes, including the demotion to the AHL of one poor performer.
The Montreal Canadiens took a huge step forward last season, and with their talented young core leading the way, the belief is that they could be a genuine Stanley Cup threat in 2025/26.
Through seven games, the team currently sits at 5-2-0, and even in the very competitive Central Division, they're making it known that this is a team to fear right now, not just for the future.
Canadiens Make Three Roster Changes
Del Gaizo likely won't find a spot on this blue line immediately in Montreal, as he's more likely than not simply going to play a role as depth for the team, but as for Roy, he will likely replace Beck on the fourth line.
In four AHL games this season, Roy tallied 3 goals and 4 points, and with Beck being a -1 and not scoring in the two games he's played this season, the team clearly believe that the 21-year old's development is still best suited down in the AHL with the Rocket.
Only time will tell how the lineup will be effected by these three moves from Montreal, but with the team off to a red-hot start, it appears they can't put a foot wrong right now, so we will wait and see how these moves play out over the upcoming stretch of games.
