Jonathan Drouin Uses Elite Hockey Knowledge to Single Handedly Screw the Montreal Canadiens
Colorado Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar revealed a shocking detail from last nights game regarding Jonathan Drouin.
The Montreal Canadiens have had a season full of ups and downs. It has been quite dramatic as the team has move up and down the standings.
Last night, the team made it to overtime again as they were playing the Colorado Avalanche, but this time it was a remarkable feat as they rallied from down 4-1 in the 3rd period.
The game eventually went to a shootout where the comeback effort fell just a little bit short.
Apparently though, Nelson was not slated to even take the attempt. Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar revealed after the game that he was going to go with former Hab Jonathan Drouin instead, but the forward had a better idea.
Drouin, who knows Montembeault well, knew that Brock Nelson's move would work on him, so he gave up his chance to be a hero for the benefit of his team.
"I was getting ready to go with Drouin. He told me to go with [Brock] Nelson, that his move would beat [
Samuel Montembeault].
The players often know a little bit more than us from watching each other, so Drou actually made that call."
Now both the Avalanche and Canadiens appear to be heading to the playoffs this season so it will be interesting to see how far they can go.
Who knows, maybe the two clubs will even face each other in the Stanley Cup final.
