Pierre-Luc Dubois comments on rumours he may be traded by the LA Kings
Pierre-Luc Dunois just made his end-of-the-year comments on the rumours going around that the LA Kings might be considering a buyout for his contract.
After another disappointing season for Pierre-Luc Dubois, rumours are again going around that he is at risk of being sent out of Los Angeles after just 1 year of being with the team. Dubois has been facing rumours about being an issue in the locker room, which some speculate was the reason he was traded from both the Blue Jackets and the Jets.
Now, however, Dubois has revealed that the rumours don't concern him, and that he is focused on improving this offseason.
Lots of hard questions for PL Dubois. How does he fix what went so wrong this season?
"Have a good summer. Work hard in the gym, skate... a lot of things that you can do, I'm committed to having a better season, I'll do anything to be better."
No concern over trade/buyout speculation.
Dubois had just 40 points this season, recording 19 goals and 21 assists with an ugly minus-9 rating on the year. This was the first year of his massive 8 year, $68 million dollar contract that was signed in the offseason. With such disappointing numbers, fans have been calling for the Kings to offload or buyout that deal.
PL Dubois on his disappointing season, «I have to be better. At the end of the day it's on me.»
As far as a possible trade or buyout, «It's out of my control.»
We will see what the LA Kings decide to do with Dubois this offseason.
