Stuart Skinner has been given chance after chance in Edmonton, and now fans have begun calling out a major double standard for the Oilers goaltender.

For a few years now, the Edmonton Oilers have relied on Stuart Skinner as their unquestioned No. 1 goaltender, and despite some major struggles, along the way, the coaching staff and the front office still clearly believe in him.
In the Stanley Cup Playoffs, he's been benched several times for Calvin Pickard, but as of right now, it's clear that the team are going to continue riding him in the regular season until a better option presents itself.

However, some Oilers fans have now done some research, revealing that his current run is much, much worse than Jack Campbell, who was run out of town after many expected him to be the team's saviour as a free agency signing.
In this post, this fan highlights the worst run of both Campbell and Skinner's run in Edmonton, with Skinner's numbers in that time being much worse, but with a lack of a better option around him, Skinner continues to keep his job.
Unfortunately for Edmonton, they don't have a stud prospect coming through or a clear target on the trade market that's affordable and an upgrade on Skinner, so for now, they need to stick with him.
If this continues however, Stan Bowman can't sit back and wait for Skinner to get better, and if they are serious about a Stanley Cup, don't be shocked to see the team pushing to make a major change ahead of the trade deadline.
