Major Rogers Place announcement changes the future picture for the Edmonton Oilers

Rogers Place will remain the home of the Edmonton Oilers for another decade after Rogers and OEG Sports & Entertainment announced a new agreement extending their partnership through 2036.

The news arrives right as the downtown arena celebrates its tenth anniversary, and it builds on the original sponsorship pact the two sides signed back in 2013.

The updated deal covers a wide range of touchpoints around Rogers Place, including signage throughout the building, concourse branding, in-ice presentation, in-bowl displays and in-game advertising.

It is a continuation of one of the more significant sponsorship arrangements in the NHL, and it signals that both organizations expect the arrangement to keep paying off well into the next decade.

To celebrate ten years at Rogers Place, Rogers is handing out more than 1,500 Oilers tickets to customers across the upcoming season.

The giveaway starts with 300 tickets tied to the home opener on September 29 against the Vancouver Canucks, with more details on how fans can claim seats expected soon.

Rogers is also hosting an Oilers Fan Day on September 19, which will include an open practice, an alumni meet and greet and a locker room sale for supporters looking to grab some gear.

Beyond the giveaways, Rogers is rolling out a new Goal Cam feature inside the arena that will let fans capture and share their own reactions right after Oilers goals.

The company also remains the presenting partner of the Community Foundation's 50/50 draw and the Every Kid Deserves a Shot program.

With Sportsnet already locked in as the Oilers regional broadcaster through 2035 and the NHL's national rights deal running through 2037-38, this extension keeps Edmonton's hockey ecosystem tied together for years to come.
