The top remaining unsigned NHL UFA, Jack Roslovic, who played last year with the Carolina Hurricanes, has made his decision and signed with a Canadian team - the Edmonton Oilers.
The saga of Jack Roslovic, who was the top remaining unsigned NHL UFA, is finally at an end.
Rosolovic has come to terms on a new contract with the Edmonton Oilers, who have been to the SCF twice in a row but lost both time to the Florida Panthers, the same team that knocked out Roslovic and the Carolina Hurricanes last year in the ECF.
Roslovic's deal is for 1 year with an AAV (average annual value) of $1.5 million, which is $1.3 million less than he made last year.
Oilers GM Stan Bowman
previously said that Roslovic is the exact kind of player that they were looking to sign, especially after losing so many players from their previous SCF run earlier this year.
The type of player, looking at our team, that we'd be wanting to look for around the trade deadline would be this type of a player - exactly. He's available now, and he's a free agent. We could get him signed at a low amount. There were a lot of things that worked in our favor.
Instead of waiting to see what was available, we think he could be a really nice piece to our group right now.

Jack Roslovic Played With the Carolina Hurricanes Last Year
Roslovic was taken 25th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, and later made his NHL debut with the Jets in 2017-18.
After playing with the Jets, he wanted to be moved and sat out the team's training camp in 2020-21 before being traded with
Patrik Laine to the Columbus Blue Jackets for
Pierre-Luc Dubois.
He played for Columbus before being traded to the New York Rangers in 2024, and then later signed a 1 year deal with the Hurricanes last summer.
In 526 career NHL games, Roslovic has 260 points (102G, 158A).
