Before helping the Oilers win 6-3 over the Maple Leafs, Connor McDavid spoke about what he thinks the legacy of ex-Oiler Stuart Skinner should be after he was traded on Friday to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Edmonton Oilers and Pittsburgh Penguins swung a trade on Friday, as Stuart Skinner and Brett Kulak were sent to the Penguins for Tristan Jarry and Sam Poulin.
Edmonton decided that Skinner's inconsistency was too much to deal with, and they are now hoping that Jarry, who has dealt with his own issues of consistency, will be able to help their goaltending.
Before the Oilers took on the Maple Leafs yesterday, captain Connor McDavid had nothing but good things to say about what he thinks the legacy of Skinner should be in Edmonton.
McDavid also said Skinner will be remembered for treating people well.
I think he should be remembered for leading the way to two Cup Finals, two exciting runs that he backstopped. And he was a good person when he was here, always treated people well and that's important.

McDavid also said that even though he's said to see Skinner and Kulak depart, he was excited to see what Jarry and Poulin can bring to Edmonton.
It was a sad day to see those two guys go. Two guys who have been great for us for a long time. It's disappointing to see them go.

That being said, I'm excited to see Jars and Spencer come in, two guys who've played well this year and I think they can help.

Tristan Jarry Already Has His First Oilers Win

Jarry, who the Oilers acquired in exchange for Skinner, already has his first win in an Oilers sweater.
He picked up the victory last night in his first start since the trade, helping the Oilers win 6-3 over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Skinner has yet to appear in a Penguins sweater and wasn't dressed for Pittsburgh's stunning 6-5 OT loss yesterday to the San Jose Sharks.
