The Dallas Cowboys traded a superstar on Thursday, and in response, the Dallas Stars have posted a hilarious Mikko Rantanen tweet to troll the team.
The Dallas Mavericks traded superstar Luka Doncic last season, and now, the NFL's Dallas Cowboys have followed suit, trading one of, if not the best defensive player in the league in Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers.
This has led to plenty of ridicule on social media after two of the cities biggest stars have departed within the past six months, leading many to look towards the Dallas Stars to see what's next.

Fortunately for Stars fans, the team both assured them that Mikko Rantanen wasn't going anywhere, while also poking fun at their NFL and NBA counterparts in Dallas with a Tweet following the news.
This comes just months after the team acquired Rantanen from the Carolina Hurricanes, where he would go on to win the hearts of Stars fans everywhere by breaking the hearts of their division rival Colorado Avalanche in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Unfortunately for those Dallas sports fans, things haven't been going well as of late, with the team not winning a title (unless the Texas Rangers, not named after the city count) since 2011, and with the Cowboys struggling to win since the 1990's, this was the last thing they needed.
Hopefully the comic relief from the Stars helped some of those fans, but given the departure of two generational stars in Doncic and Parsons, there's very little to smile about for those fans in Dallas at this point in time.
