Connor Bedard has faced plenty of criticism early in his career, and now Canadiens fans are coming after him for talking trash to veteran Josh Anderson.

On Saturday night, the Montreal Canadiens and Chicago Blackhawks played a thriller, with the Canadiens eventually coming out on top 3-2 in a fantastic matchup.
It was a matchup between Original Six teams with plenty of feeling as well, as there were plenty of big hits and scuffles, with even Blackhawks star Connor Bedard getting involved in the physicality.

Bedard called out for chirping Josh Anderson

During the matchup, Josh Anderson and Bedard were pushing and shoving, with Bedard seen on video walking away from the veteran while continuing to call him out for his actions.
You're tough, you're f***ing tough.
From plenty of other players in the NHL, this would be seen as a funny moment, but given Bedard's history of lacking a physical side to his game, it didn't take long for many people, including Canadiens fans to call him out on social media.
Some however complimented Bedard for standing up for himself, something that fans have been calling for since he entered the league playing a very passive game physically.
However, a player like Anderson likely isn't the one to be messing with as a young player, as he has plenty of experience dropping the gloves in the NHL, with this likely being a play that he won't forget.
Ultimately, Bedard can be commended for standing up for himself and not allowing Anderson to push him around, but given what we've seen from Bedard already in the NHL, it's safe to say that this isn't his game.
