Zayne Parekh has had plenty to say at the World Juniors as he's shown off his immense personality, and reportedly, it's frustrated many back in Calgary.

The Calgary Flames seemingly landed a big time star in the 2024 NHL Draft when they picked up Zayne Parekh with the No. 9 overall draft pick, but unfortunately, he struggled early in his first season with the team.
As a result, he was loaned to Team Canada for the World Juniors, where he has posted 11 points thus far, putting him just one point behind Ryan Ellis for the most by a defenseman in a single tournament in Team Canada history.

Parekh's comments cause backlash in Calgary

Recently, he made comments about showing his personality with Team Canada, while some veteran players in Calgary have forced him to tamper that, expecting him to offer cookie cutter answers to questions from the media.
Those comments have reportedly not gone down well, with reports now that some in Calgary, both on the team and in management are frustrated by Parekh's comments about the team.
Flames players are aware of it, and the coaching staff and management are aware of it.

Given that he's still just 19-years of age, this isn't exactly what you want to hear as a Flames fan, but given how well his personality has been received within Team Canada camp, it also begs the question as to why the organization are trying to water him down.
On the ice, Parekh remains an immense talent, and if the Flames treat him well, that could certainly show at the next level, but if this frustration begins to build, who knows how things will turn out with Parekh in Calgary.
