David Pastrnak gets hit by referee Chris Rooney in game one
The Boston Bruins' forward David Pastrnak got hit by the referee Chris Rooney last night in game one against the Florida Panthers.
The Bruins ended up winning the game with a whopping 5-1 score. However, an incident involving David Pastrnak could hurt their chances of winning the next games.
The referee Chris Rooney entered in a violent collision with him, as he was chasing the puck near the boards.
Pastrnak fell and remained on the ice for a few seconds before returning to the bench. Needless to say he wasn't happy at all:
In between plays, Rooney skated over to Pastrnak to apologize, but unfortunately, he looked hurt. He did manage to stay in the game despite the incident:
"Rooney skated right up to Pasta on bench during next stoppage to check on him"
It was a big win for the Bruins, in which Pastrnak collaborated with an assist on his team's first goal of the night, scored by Morgan Geekie.
Watch the goal here:
With this assist, Pastrnak scored his 85th playoff point, at his 85th game.
As the Panthers will try to bounce back in front of their fans before flying to Boston for games 3 and 4, it'll be interesting to see how the player will answer the call.
