Pavel Zacha's name has come up in trade talks recently, and now, it appears as though the Vancouver Canucks are interested in him.

The Vancouver Canucks are looking to bounce back after a disastrous 2024/25 campaign, and while they've shown promise early in the new season, they've clearly got some major holes to fill on this roster.
Perhaps the biggest is the 2C role, which they had hoped could be filled by Filip Chytil, but after his recent injury at the hands of Tom Wilson, question marks have once again emerged at the position.

Vancouver Canucks Reportedly Targeting Pavel Zacha

We've heard plenty of speculation around the role in Vancouver, and now, Rick Dhaliwal has suggested another intriguing name, revealing that the Canucks and Boston Bruins have been talking trade involving Pavel Zacha.
I've had more than one person tell me Vancouver and Boston are talking Zacha.
Despite coming into the NHL highly overlooked, Zacha has become a very valuable contributor in Boston, and with 57, 59 and 47 points in the past three years, he could become the perfect two-way 2C for Vancouver.
This year, Zacha has tallied 2 goals and 9 points in 9 games, and if the Bruins don't see him as a long-term piece for their team, it would absolutely make sense to sell high on him after a point-per-game start to the season.
Some have even suggested that he could be the 1C over Elias Pettersson, but whether or not that would be his role in Vancouver, this is a player the team are clearly interested in, and if they want an upgrade down the middle, it's a move that would make sense for the Canucks, so keep a close eye on this situation.
