Canada’s playing it safe in Milano as they sit three massive names for today’s matchup against France.

Elliotte Friedman confirmed that Darcy Kuemper, Josh Morrissey, and Brad Marchand won't dress despite skating this morning.
They'll roll with the same lines from their last game.
The veteran Marchand is being saved for the bigger battles waiting in the medal round where the hits get harder.

Management prioritizes health over a blowout win

Josh Morrissey is a great defenseman, but after being injured early in the tournament, he is getting the opportunity to fully recover.
Letting him heal that nagging knock from the Czechia game is the only smart play for the coaching staff.
Darcy Kuemper’s the third man out as the goalie rotation continues to spin for the red and white.
Binnington and Thompson remain the team's solution between the pipes.
No Marchand. No Morrissey? No problem.
The quarterfinals are ahead!
