Adam Ruzicka was once a promising young player in the NHL, but after yet another controversy, he has now lost another role with his KHL team.
To get to the National Hockey League, it takes an immense amount of skill, patience, perserverence and hard work, but unfortunately, not everyone that gets there takes that opportunity with both hands.
One such player is Adam Ruzicka, formerly of the Arizona Coyotes and the Calgary Flames, who lost his spot with the latter after some controversy where he was seen on social media with an illicit substance.
Adam Ruzicka loses latest role in Russia
If he had the talent and production, he could likely find another role in the NHL, but unfortunately, Ruzicka just isn't quite up to standard, and as a result, he departed North America for Russia and the KHL.
Now, the pattern of his behaviour has continued, with the 26-year old now officially losing his role with Spartak Moscow after he refused to play in a game, and while he tried to apologize and right his wrong, clearly the damage had already been done.
Unfortunately for Ruzicka, given league rules and the fact that his contract was terminated, he now has to pay Spartak after he failed to meet the regulations stipulated in his contract.
In the NHL, Ruzicka tallied just 40 points in 117 games, but given the pattern of poor behaviour off the ice, it's unlikely that we'll ever see him in North America again, and after the latest incident, it's unclear whether or not the Olympian will be given a significant role anywhere again.
