There is growing trade buzz surrounding the future of Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly and a potential trade to a Pacific Division team on the rise.

If the postseason were to begin now, the Toronto Maple Leafs would miss for the first time since 2016.
It would also be the first time that they've missed with Auston Matthews, who they coincidentally took just a few months after missing the postseason in 2016 with the first overall pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
Right now, the longest-tenured member of the team is defenseman Morgan Rielly, but he's been involved in recent trade rumours.
Recent rumours have connected him out west, specifically to the San Jose Sharks.
Definitely feels like SJ are the team to watch here with Rielly, even if it waits until summer

Only two D signed for next season, Orlov and Dickinson. Both LD so they could slide Rielly onto the 3rd pair

Wouldn’t expect much back it’s more about clearing cap space for the Leafs. - Willyston Riellander
The trade deadline this year is March 6.

Morgan Rielly Is The Longest Tenured Member Of The Maple Leafs

Rielly was taken by the Maple Leafs with the fifth overall pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, and he's played his entire NHL career in a Maple Leafs sweater.
So far this year, he has 31 points (7G, 24A) in 54 games played.
He has four more years beyond this one with an AAV (average annual value) of $7.5 million left on his current deal.
