Pavel Buchnevich has been fantastic for the St. Louis Blues but with only a year left on his contract, he is rumored to be due for a change of scenery.
The St. Louis Blues are currently stuck in no man's land and may need to target a trade to truly kick off an upcoming rebuild. They have their two leading point scorers, Robert Thomas and Jordan Kyrou, under contract long-term but Pavel Buchnevich, the third leading scorer, only has a year left.
He has recently been rumored to be fits for three different teams, the Vancouver Canucks, Carolina Hurricanes, and Seattle Kraken.
This would be a far better road for Vancouver to go down than breaking the bank to try to retain Elias Lindholm at more than $7 million per season on a long-term deal.
Carolina is also known to have some interest in trading for Buchnevich.
[Seattle] has a lack of top-end offensive players, and getting in on Buchnevich would be a great move.
Each team certainly could use a talent like Buchnevich. He is coming off another 60-point campaign and scored over a point per game rate in the prior two. He plays a hard-nosed style of game too and could bring a snarl any team wants in their top six.
