Following the blockbuster trade sending Brady Tkachuk to the Florida Panthers a new report confirms he requested a trade and only gave the Senators four acceptable destinations.
Earlier this evening, the Florida Panthers pulled off a shocking deal acquiring star American forward Brady Tkachuk to pair with his brother Matthew.
The trade confirms a reset for the Senators who will now likely rebuild while the Panthers re-load for another shot at the Stanley Cup after a down year.
The trade comes as a surprise but now a new report confirms that Brady made it clear he would not re-sign leading the Senators to explore a trade.
As the Senators went to trade Brady he put his foot down and demanded to be traded to one of four teams.

According to NHL insider Pierre LeBrun, Tkachuk submitted a four team list he would approve a trade to including the Minnesota Wild, Vegas Golden Knights, Carolina Hurricanes, and of course the Florida Panthers.
My understanding is the Senators also had conversations with Carolina and Vegas, other teams that were on Tkachuk's list. I also think Minnesota was on the list. Four-team list but in the end, Brady obviously wanted to go join his brother in Florida.
Senators made the best of a tough situation.

Tkachuk becomes the second Atlantic Division captain to submit a trade request after Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin did so earlier this month.
Over the last year, there seems to be a growing trend of star players demanding trades and holding all the cards to pick their destination with no-trade clauses.
Now, Brady will reunite with his brother Matthew in Florida as the Panthers look to go for yet another Stanley Cup.
