Elliotte Friedman just confirmed New Jersey and Florida are pulling the plug as Juho Lammikko and Josh Davies hit waivers for contract termination.
The dream is dead in Jersey for Lammikko.
He's played 23 games this year and hasn't scored a single goal.
You can't stay in the show with zero goals and two measly points.
He was a third-round pick, 65th overall, by the Panthers in 2014.
But at $800,000, he's just taking up space and the Devils want him gone.
The Panthers cut ties with their physical prospect
Down south, Florida is done with Josh Davies.
He's a gritty 5'9'' player who has a non-stop motor.
He's been grinding in the ECHL with 8 goals and 51 penalty minutes in 31 games.
Florida grabbed him in the sixth round, 186th overall, back in 2022.
Yet they're ready to wipe his $828,333 cap hit off the books today.
It's a cold business when the production stops and the team moves on.
One guy is likely headed for Finland and the other is hunting for a new home.
Which GM is desperate enough to take a flyer on these leftovers?
