The Edmonton Oilers haven't been at their best as of late, and after a loss to the rival Flames, Leon Draisaitl has gone nuclear and called out his coaches.
The Edmonton Oilers season has been a rollercoaster ride thus far, and as of right now, they sit in second place in the Pacific Division, although they are just one point ahead of the final teams in the Western Conference playoff standings.
On Wednesday, they had a chance to pick up some major momentum as they took on the rival Calgary Flames in the Battle of Alberta, but unfortunately for Edmonton, they came up short in a thrilling contest, their third consecutive loss overall.
For Draisaitl individually, it was another good night against their rivals as he came up with two goals and a +1 differential, but when it mattered most, the team couldn't get big saves and stops down the stretch.
Leon Draisaitl calls out the entire organization
Despite this being a hard fought contest where the team fell just short 4-3, after the game, Leon Draisiatl took out his frustrations in an interview, making two comments in particular that had fans intrigued.
It starts at the top.
It stars with coaches. - Leon Draisaitl

Clearly, there was something that Draisaitl wasn't happy about in this game, and whether he's talking about Kris Knoblauch or the assistant coaches, clearly he isn't happy with how the team is playing lately, especially on the defensive end.
Now, like everyone else in the league, the Oilers have a few weeks off for the Olympic break, but if they believe they're true Stanley Cup contenders in 2026, there's a chance that they could make some changes to spark some momentum ahead of the post-season.
