Matthew Tkachuk's suspension fate was officially confirmed by the NHL
Last night during the Florida Panthers' blowout loss, Matthew Tkachuk lost his cool on Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers leading to a penalty that fans thought he could be suspended for.
So far the Stanley Cup Finals have been quite entertaining. We watched the Florida Panthers take a commanding 3-0 lead over the Edmonton Oilers in three games that could have gone either way. In game four, the Oilers proved they would not go down easy as they blew the Panthers out with an 8-1 victory.
During the victory, Matthew Tkachuk took a senseless penalty which fans thought may have warranted a suspension as Tkachuk was beating up on a defenseless Connor McDavid.
However, since it is officially past 5 pm EST, Tkachuk will not face any discipline for this hit meaning he is good to go for game five.
Now that 5 pm EST has passed, it is official that Matthew Tkachuk will NOT be receiving any supplementary discipline for jumping a defenseless Connor McDavid
Tkachuk has been an impact player for the Panthers all playoffs long scoring 20 points in 21 games. He and the Panthers will look to take down McDavid and the Oilers on home ice this coming Tuesday and win the Stanley Cup.
