The NHL season is winding down, but the hockey season around the world continues, particularly on the youth circuit, and tonight, former Montreal Canadiens captain Max Pacioretty was ejected from his son's game.
Max Pacioretty enjoyed a long and successful career in the NHL primarily as the captain of the Montreal Canadiens before moving on to the Vegas Golden Knights, Carolina Hurricanes, Washington Capitals, and Toronto Maple Leafs.
Since retiring, Pacioretty has settled into a coaching role with the Michigan Wolverines and is also coaching his son's youth team in the United States as well.
This past weekend, Pacioretty was in Chicago, where he was coaching in the CCM Showcase tournament involving his son's team, the Jr. Red Wings.
During the game, Pacioretty was seen losing his mind after one of his sons received a penalty that he believed was not deserved.

In the video, Pacioretty can be seen yelling at referees after his son allegedly got a penalty for slashing another player in the face.
However, it should be noted that recently, while his son James Carter (born in 2017) was participating in a tournament in Chicago (CCM Chicago Showcase), Max Pacioretty was expelled from one of his games.
While behind his son's team bench, Pacioretty argued with a referee after James Carter took a penalty.

The video of the incident can be seen here, where Pacioretty was shouting at the referees well after play had begun again, leading the referee to stop play and immediately eject Pacioretty.
While it is unclear what Pacioretty said, the referee seemed to believe it was severe enough that Pacioretty should not be allowed to continue coaching the rest of the game.
Now, we will have to wait and see if Pacioretty releases a statement in the coming days regarding the incident and what exactly set him off.
