Chris Chelios Selling His $60 Million Mega Mansion in California

For the cool price of nearly $60 million, you can become the newest owner of a beachfront mansion that currently belongs to Hall of Fame defenseman Chris Chelios.

It pays to be a professional athlete, and former NHL defenseman Chris Chelios, a Hall of Famer who won three Stanley Cups during his career, is set to cash in big time in the real estate market.
Chelios, who has maintained a beachfront property in Malibu since 2003, is selling it for an astounding $59,999,999 US.
Per The Vancouver Sun, it's a spacious property with multiple features.
The house, which was built in 1982, features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a large kitchen with high-end appliances, two garages and a massive rooftop deck - not to mention beach access from another cabana/patio area. The house also features a media/game room, a hot tub and a barrel sauna.

According to the house's listing, the three-storey primary dwelling «is highlighted by a fireside living room that opens to an al fresco lounging and entertaining deck, plus a kitchen sporting an eat-in island and a breakfast nook.

Chris Chelios Is A Hall Of Fame Former Defenseman

Chelios was taken with the 40th overall pick by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft, and would win the Stanley Cup in a Candiens sweater in 1986.
He was later traded to the Chicago Blackhawks, his hometown team, where he played and was even named captain until he was traded to the divisional foe Detroit Red Wings, where he'd play for the next decade.
He'd win the Stanley Cup in Detroit in 2002 and 2008, and finished his career with a brief stint in an Atlanta Thrashers sweater.
