VIDEO: Cale Makar sets NHL record!
The Colorado Avalanche become the first NHL team to advance to the 2nd round of the NHL playoffs, winning 5-3 against the Nashville Predators on Monday night to conclude a series sweep of their central division rivals.
A huge part of that victory is the strong play from star defenseman Cale Makar, who set a record during the sweep, recording the most points by an NHL defenseman in a four game playoff stretch with an incredible 10 points!

Makar is already having a career year his 3rd season in the NHL, scoring 86 points in 77 games, leading defensemen in goals, and ranking 5th in the league in plus/minus.
His strong playoff performance is only adding to his reputation as one of the best defensemen in the NHL.

Makar has also been named a finalist for the Norris trophy, alongside Victor Hedman and Roman Josi.
