After losing 7-2 to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday night, the New York Rangers have their backs against the wall facing elimination in their Wednesday night game, currently sitting 3-1 in the best of 7 series.

The Rangers finished second in the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern conference, 7 points ahead of their series opponent Pittsburgh Penguins.
But to try and keep their postseason alive they'll need more of a commitment to playing defense as Gallant also noted in the post-game press conference.
