Depending on your age, when you think of the Leafs, you may think of Darryl Sittler, Wendel Clarke, Mats Sundin, Darcy Tucker, Auston Matthews. One name I think will be forever engraved in the minds of Leafs fans, and it's not for his goal scoring or point producing, it was for his fighting. That name is Tie Domi.

His son however, while he can fight if he needs too, is more known as a point producer. Max Domi is a former Arizona Coyotes draft pick back in 2013, when they took him 12th overall.

In his rookie season he shot out of a cannon with 18 goals 52 points in 81 games.

Then following 2 slow seasons in Arizona, he was traded to Montreal where once again, in his first season absolutely shot out of a cannon with 28 goals, 72 points in 82 games.

He was later traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Josh Anderson.

While he is having a decent season this year with 24 points in 39 games, Domi is definitely capable of more. Domi is in the final year of a contract that pays him $5,300,000 and becomes a UFA at the end of the season.

It would be interesting to see if the Leafs use him as a mere rental or if they try to get this player locked up long term.

One thing I do know though, the hockey world will be very upset if he becomes a Leaf and doesn't choose the #28.
