Steven Stamkos might not be that 50/60 goal player anymore but is still one of the best, and is having a very impressive season.
However the 32 year-old Lightning captain has done everything in the game including two Stanley Cups. Stamkos has also had a 50 and 60 goal season, so Stamkos wanted to give Toronto Maple Leafs super star Auston Matthews some advice.
Stamkos tells Matthews:
"He's got to hit his 60th goal. In 2011 I didn't want to finish with 59."
"With 59 people are like it doesn't matter, it does matter. Score 49 or 59 it does matter it will haunt you."
Auston Matthew's currently has 54, tying the Toronto Maple Leafs all-time record with 1982's Rick Vaive season, Matthews will take over the record with his next goal but Stamkos is right, Matthews needs to hit 60 goals.
