Last night, Sidney Crosby got away with a pretty blatant cheap shot on one of his former rivals.
Crosby Cross Checks Giroux in Heated Exchange
During last night's Penguins-Senators game, a heated exchange between Sidney Crosby and rival Claude Giroux left Crosby sitting in the box. After chirping each other the entire length of the ice during a stoppage of play, Crosby took his frustration out on Giroux during the ensuing faceoff, landing a massive crosscheck to his back and earning him a penalty.

The crosscheck sent Giroux tumbling to the ice, as Crosby took two shots at him in order to land one square in his back.
Senators Had the Last Laugh Last Night Despite Crosby's Efforts
Crosby had an excellent game last night recording 1 goal and 1 assist to bring him up to 9 total points on the season. Despite his best efforts though, the Giroux and the Senators had the last laugh, winning the game 5-2.
