These are the things you never want to see happen in hockey, we love big hits yes, but good clean hits, not dirty. That's exactly what happen in last nights Western Hockey League Championship game between the Edmonton Oil Kings and Seattle Thunderbirds.
When Winnipeg Jets draft pick Thunderbird forward Tyrel Bauer would deliver a bit hit to Oil Kings forward Brendan Kuny knocking him out cold with a devastating dirty hit.
Kuny was forced to be taking off the ice via stretcher to a shocked crowd. The hit came 5 minutes into the 1st period and left Kuny down on the ice unconscious until medical staff would take care of him.
Tyrel Bauer was given a 5 minute major for interference and a game misconduct and will likely and should be suspended without question.
We here at House Of Hockey wish Brendan Kuny a speedy recovery.
