David Pastrnak's agent speaks about Pastrnak refusing to resign under current management
After the Boston Bruins fired Bruce Cassidy, rumours started it did not sit well with the Bruins players, especially David Pastrnak, and the young star would not resign with the Bruins if Don Sweeney remained as General Manager.
Insider Elliotte Friedman reported this morning that he reached out to Pastrnak's agent about the rumours, and this is what he found out:
BOS priority is to sign Pastrnak, but if he won't sign -- then they'd definitely have to move him. We will see how it all plays out.— Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) June 8, 2022
While it doesn't seem like Pastrnak is in any rush to sign a new deal anytime soon, Pastrnak's agent also spoke about the report in the Athletic:
Pastrnak agent JP Barry on Athletic report: «I spoke with Don and David this morning and we don't know where this report emanated from. We both have a solid relationship with Don and the plan hasn't changed one bit. We will sit down in July and begin extension negotiations.»— steve conroy (@conroyherald) June 8, 2022
