Nobody ever wants to see a player get hurt, and it was a scary moment for Flyers prospect Jackson Cates during Saturday nights game in Lehigh Valley as he went crashing into the boards after a hit from behind and needed a stretcher to leave the ice.
Head coach Ian Laperriere said in a post-game interview:
"It's very tough. We look at the replay, he got pushed from behind. Hopefully the league's going to do something about it. He could have been paralyzed. I think he's okay, he's at the hospital right now."
