Matthews Won't Sign an Extension
That's right, the Leafs' star goalscorer won't commit to Toronto long-term.
Matthews is entering the final year of his massive contract that pays him over $11.6 million annually. As the Leafs undergo some massive organizational changes, Matthews may not want to commit to them long-term.

As crazy as it sounds, Toronto could have to look to move Auston Matthews within the next year if he won't sign an extension with the team. A player of Matthews' caliber is too good to lose for nothing, and he could bring them a massive haul if he gets traded.
