RUMOR: Blockbuster Trade On the Horizon For the New Jersey Devils
Recent reports about the New Jersey Devils are surfacing, saying that they are looking to make a blockbuster trade to bring a goaltender to New Jersey.
NHL Insider Reveals that the New Jersey Devils Are Looking to Bring In Goaltender in Potential Trade
The New Jersey Devils are off to a mediocre season, sitting at 9-9-1 on the year and near the bottom of the Metro division. However, they are on the verge of being a competitive playoff team, if they can fill the gap in their roster between the pipes.
NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman has just revealed that the Devils are looking to do just that, looking at acquiring a goaltender this year.
I'm really curious to see what they do in goal here, I think they've been looking around, I don't think there is anything imminent or anything, but I think they are calling teams to find out asking prices on certain goalies.
NHL Trade Rumors has reported that the Devils are looking at three goaltenders specifically, Jake Allen, Carter Hart, and Yaroslav Askarov.
NHL Trade Rumours states:
"The New Jersey Devils are at a pivotal point in their season. Their pursuit of a reliable goaltender is not just about filling a position; it's about making a strategic move that could redefine their future. Whether it's Allen, Hart, or Asksrov, the decision they make could have a lasting impact on their trajectory in the league."
Devils Need to Make a Change to Become a Contender
Last season, the Devils made a push past the first round of the playoffs, beating out the New York Rangers in a stunning first-round bout. However, it became clear that in order to be a true contender, they would need to make some changes and bolster their roster. It now appears they are looking to do so.
Devils are a goalie away folks.
