REPORT: Ottawa Senators forward suffers possible CAREER ENDING injury

Last night the Ottawa Senators were hosting the Philadelphia Flyers, in what finished as a 5-4 overtime win for the hometown Senators.
It was an exciting game, with blown leads and lots of physicality, which even saw Nic Deslauriers be forced to fight twice in one play.
Sadly though, late in the second period, Senators Derrick Brassard suffered an injury that looked pretty gruesome.
While going hard to the night, Brassard gets his skates caught in the Flyers defenceman and fell hard to the ice, twisting his leg at a very awkward angle:
The veteran laid on the ice in pain while holding his ankle. Judging strictly by his reaction, something significantly was wrong.
At the age of 35, Brassard is no longer a spring chicken in this league, and injuries like this are not always easy to come back from.
The Senators head coach after the game provided a slight update on Brassard with two words:
