Last night the Toronto Maple Leafs went to New Jersey to play the New Jersey Devils in what the Devils hoped would be a franchise record in consecutive wins.
Unfortunately though, they had not 1, not 2, but 3 disallowed goals last night, which helped them eventually lose 2-1 to the Maple Leafs.
Fans were pissed. They even started littering the ice with garbage during the third period.
You can definitely understand why fans are upset over this, but this one fan took it upon himself to go one-step further and write a letter to the league ..... then share it online:
To whom it may concern,
With zero due respect, the situation room at NHL headquarters in Toronto fired immediately. These bums absolutely robbed the Devils of a franchise record last night. Embarrassing. You should all be ashamed. What kind of third-rate league is this? Deplorable. Just unfathomable what occurred here in Newark on this night. If don't hear back within 72 hours, legal action will be considered.
Kind regards,
ZYP, all Devils fans, and the good people of New Jersey
The responses to this email are even better than the email itself!
