When you think of best goalies of a generation, you most likely think of Ken Dryden, Patrick Roy, Martin Brodeur, Dominik Hasek and well, Carey Price better be in that conversation as well.

A career Montreal Canadien carried the franchise for years while playing on some very poor teams. During his whole career, he has only played with ONE 80 point scorer, and yet, his numbers during his prime were tops of the National Hockey League and in the 2014-15 season he won the Hart Memorial, William Jennings, Vezina and Ted Lindsay award.
In October 2021, just a few months after making it all the way to the Stanley Cup finals, Price woke up one morning and realized he was not in shape because of the amount of alcohol he had been drinking, and decided he needed to get help.
In an article by Arpon Basu of The Athletic, Price revealed some information about his life during the time and what caused him to finally go into rehab:
Substance abuse is a very big issue in First Nations communities. I have friends and family members who have died from it. So I could have done this in private. No one would have ever known.
But at the end of the day, I figured if I faced it, I could set an example and show that it's okay to ask for help.
