REFEREE SCANDAL: Fans calling for Wes McCauley's head after CONTROVERSIAL calls in game 1

Last night the Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay Lightning played game 1 of their best of 7 series, which resulted in a huge 7-3 win for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

But as usual, the game did not come without controversy - as the Tampa Bay Lightning scored 4 powerplay goals in the game.

During last nights game, the Lightning were handed 8 powerplays and the Leafs were only handed 4, both teams converting on 50% of them.

Maple Leafs fans were not happy with a lot of the calls by McCauley. For example, a ''cross-checking'' penalty by Luke Schenn, when seen on replay, was a mere push.

After the game, fans took to social media to express their frustrations and call out Wes McCauley:
